Barrie Film Festival - Begins October 15-24 2010

Education Program

Following the annual film festival, we have our ever-growing Education program that caters to over 3,000 students in Simcoe County. The Education program was designed to meet school curricula and allow students to view films usually screened only at film festivals. A large part of this program is to screen foreign films to elementary and high school students.

The BFF hopes to continue to offer programs throughout the year that will engage and challenge students and help teachers support their curriculum in imaginative ways. Film is definitely a medium which holds a great deal of fascination for young people and the BFF hopes that by continuing to show the accomplished work of people their own age, students who see it, will be encouraged and inspired to tell their own stories.
